Delete your Rentwize account

This page applies to your Rentwize account, whether you use the Rentwize app by Novacraft Engineering Studio Limited on iOS or Android, or the Rentwize web app. Deleting your account closes it for good. You will not be able to sign in again or recover your profile, listings, or messages after the deletion is complete.

The quickest way is from inside the app: Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account.

• Open the Rentwize app and sign in.
• Tap Profile in the bottom bar.
• Tap Account Settings.
• Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete Account.
• Enter your password, add a reason if you want to, then tap Delete Account.
• Tap Yes, delete to confirm.

Active rentals and pending payouts must be settled before you delete your account. Withdraw any wallet balance you want to keep first.

If you no longer have the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your Rentwize account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we act, and we will reply once your request has been processed.

Your account is deactivated immediately, and you are signed out of the app.

30 days later, we permanently delete your personal data, including:

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• Your profile and listing photos.
• Your identity and KYC documents, including your government ID and selfie.
• Your Bank Verification Number (BVN).
• Your saved bank details.
• Device data linked to your account.
• Your chat messages.
• Your listings.

We keep records of your payments and wallet transactions for as long as the law requires, because Nigerian financial regulations oblige us to. Where possible, we remove your personal identifiers from these records. We use them only to meet our legal duties and to resolve disputes.
